The Weedsport Fire Department is a volunteer organization serving the Village of Weedsport and surrounding community. Its members train to respond safely and professionally while supporting fire prevention, public education, fundraising, and community events.
Our purpose
Our purpose is to protect life and property, support our neighbors during emergencies, and maintain the skills, equipment, and teamwork needed to serve the community.
Historic South Street firehouse
The firehouse at 8892 South Street was constructed in 1884 using local brick. It was built to house a Silsby steam-powered pumper purchased in 1878. The original belfry bell remains an important part of the building's history.
